Hi Ashley, When #GivingTuesday kicks off on December 1, choose to be a Guardian of Education by becoming a monthly sustainer of AQE. 2020 is AQE's 20th birthday. For twenty years, AQE has been committed to developing parents and community members to lead the charge in the fight for equity and justice in public education. AQE's parent leaders and advocates have helped us fight for fully funded schools in the New York State budget; increase funding for community schools; build greater access to pre-kindergarten; reduce suspensions and advocate for restorative justice practices and revised codes of conduct; and much more. In honor of our 20th year of advocacy in 2020, we are asking you to become a Guardian of Education by giving $20 a month to support AQE. The movement for public education and racial justice is facing unprecedented challenges, and AQE's work is more critical than it has ever been before. With Executive Director Jasmine Gripper at the helm and a growing team, AQE will continue to fight on the front lines to make sure that students have access to the tools they need to succeed. Hi Ashley,   Join us today for a day of action for pandemic relief for child care!   Our message to Governor Cuomo and other New York State leaders: Cut unnecessary red tape, and get CARES Act funds to the providers and parents who have been waiting for months for relief. Let’s work together to secure additional – and desperately needed – federal relief funds for child care. Give parents and child care providers a seat at the table to plan NOW for equitable and effective use of future federal relief funds. Looking ahead, any remaining CARES Act funds or additional federal relief funds should be released in a grant form, not by reimbursement, like nearly every other state around the country.
