The all-Democratic Troy City Council unanimously voted to override a veto from Mayor Carmella Mantello on a public hearing concerning a proposed change to §C-40, which would redefine the mayor’s power to declare a state of emergency.

Pitney Meadows Community Farm recently announced that its annual Fire Feast – an open-air, expeditionary dining experience, bringing together local food and music, live-fire cooking, and community – will return from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Tuesday, Aug. 4, with this year’s event being extra special to celebrate the farm’s 10th anniversary.
