SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — In this edition of the Section 2 high school boys lacrosse roundup, we recap some of the sectional quarterfinal playoff action from Saturday. CLASS A COLONIE 5, SHENENDEHOWA 9: No. 3 Shenendehowa earned a spot in the semifinals with a 9-5 victory against Colonie. Peyton Lynch and Derek Stockwell paced the Shenendehowa offense with two goals apiece. Lynch added two assists, while Stockwell contributed one assist. Business as usual: Saratoga Springs varsity baseball advances to fifth straight Section 2 Class AAA final

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. — After a thrilling walk-off win the night before against Shaker in game one of the best-of-three Section 2 Class AAA semifinals, the Saratoga Springs varsity baseball team was back to the status quo on Saturday. By 11:45 a.m., the team was already at Shuttleworth Park in Amsterdam. At 12:10 p.m., the boys were loosening up and playing hacky sack. ROWING: Saratoga Rowing Association varsity crews qualify for 2026 USRowing Youth National Championships

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The Saratoga Rowing Association will send five varsity crews to the 2026 USRowing Youth National Championships after strong performances at the New York State Rowing Championships secured national qualifying bids for the program. Saratoga qualified its boys and girls first and second varsity eights, along with the girls U17 double, for the national regatta scheduled for June 11-14 in Sarasota, Florida, where the crews will compete against top junior rowing programs from across the country.
