The window for child care is closing!

Hi Ashley,

There is less than a month left until the state budget is decided, and right now the State Senate and the Assembly are working through the weekend to finalize their own budget proposals (called "One House Budgets") which will serve as starting points in the final budget negotiations with the Governor.

Governor Hochul's proposal for child care only includes a small fraction of what New York's families and providers need — so it is critical that the State Senate and the Assembly proposals provide a strong counterpoint to the Governor. We need the one-house proposals to include $1.2 billion for the child care workforce and $60 million to ensure all children are included regardless of their immigration status.

With the window to influence the Senate and Assembly proposals closing fast, our State Legislators need to hear from us TODAY! Call now and tell them we need investments in child care must be included in their one house budget proposals.

Take action for child care now with the call script below!
