Hochul extends Executive Order for NY residents to receive updated COVID shot

NEW YORK — Gov. Kathy Hochul recently announced an extension of Executive Order 52, which allows pharmacists to continue administering COVID vaccines, providing access for all New Yorkers who wish to be vaccinated. According to a press release from the governor's office, the Executive Order will be in place for at least another 30 days while work continues on a long-term legislative solution to protect the immunization and health care rights of New Yorkers. DEC adopts electronic tags for deer hunting

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Amanda Lefton has announced the adoption of several changes to streamline use and reporting of hunting tags and provide new deer hunting opportunities. Hunters can now use DEC's online app for their licenses and tags as an alternative to paper license and tag options. Youth hunters will also have increased opportunities to earn a new season tag. SNAPSHOT: Saratoga County veteran named National Historian of American Legion during America 250

State Sen. Jim Tedisco (R,C-Ballston) recently honored a Saratoga County resident who was appointed to serve as the National Historian for the American Legion during the celebration of America's 250th birthday. Tedisco presented the New York State Senate Commendation Award and a Proclamation to U.S. Army veteran David W. Lockhart of the town of Hadley for his advocacy on behalf of veterans. Lockhart was appointed to a one-year term as National Historian of the American Legion at the 106th National Convention in Tampa, Florida.
