Early voting is underway in New York, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 3! This election, like every election, impacts the future of our public schools and how we move toward truly universal child care, and the many public services our communities rely on every day. It will also signal whether we will curb the deliberate erosion of our democracy and of the safety net that our government should provide for its people. Make your plan to vote and check in with folks in your community to make sure they've made plans to do the same!
New York's fusion voting system allows voters to support a candidate while choosing a third party. Votes on the Working Families Party (WFP) line count toward both the candidate's total and the party's ballot status. Because the WFP advocates for taxing the ultra-rich to invest in the resources our working communities need, we're calling on you to vote on the WFP line.
Take a moment to review your ballot before heading to the polls. Early voting runs through November 1, and Election Day polls will be open from 6 AM to 9 PM on November 3. Let's show up for one another and the future we've been dreaming of and building together!
In solidarity,
Marina Marcou-O'Malley and Zakiyah Shaakir-Ansari
