Take action now: Don't let child care get left behind in the NYS budget!

Hi Ashley,

The final deal on the budget is expected to be announced in just a few hours. And from what we're hearing on child care, Governor Hochul has utterly abandoned New York's working families.

We cannot let Governor Hochul get away with leaving child care behind. But it isn't too late to make a difference. Call your State Senators and Assemblymembers RIGHT NOW to demand that $3 billion is invested in child care this year for all families, regardless of immigration status.

Your calls matter. This is our last chance to win a budget for millions of New York families and child care providers in this year's budget. Call now with the script below!

If Governor Hochul gets her way in shortchanging child care, parents will continue to face incredibly long waitlists, skyrocketing costs, and no support as they return to the office. Families will be denied child care based on their immigration status. In short, child care will remain in crisis, and the most vulnerable among us will suffer the most.

Call your State Legislators NOW and urge them to speak up in conference and demand that $3 billion is invested in child care THIS year for ALL families regardless of immigration status.

Call your NYS legislators now!

Your State Senator and Assemblymember: State Senator Neil D. Breslin and State Assembly Member Patricia Fahy.

Call them NOW: (518) 455-2225,(518) 455-4178.

If you believe the legislators listed above are incorrect, you can look up your representatives and their contact information using your ZIP code here.
