Gas price inch higher in Capital Region

CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. — Average gasoline prices in the area rose two cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.12 a gallon, according to GasBuddy's survey of 546 stations in Albany. Prices in Albany are 1.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 3.9 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 4.1 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.769 per gallon.
