Gas prices virtually unchanged in Capital Region

CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. — Average gasoline prices in the region rose 0.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.95 a gallon, according to GasBuddy's survey of 546 stations in Albany. Prices in Albany are 9.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 19.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 7.8 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.543 per gallon.
