This blog is about everything. I will address various topics hopefully on a day by day basis. Topics will range from my personal experiences to information that I learned from watching various television shows. Who says television isn't educational.
New Yorkers are asking for something different from what the Governor is advancing in Albany. The majority of New Yorkers are calling for taxes on the rich and the most highly profitable corporations, along with investments that move New York toward truly universal child care and stronger public schools. You could feel that demand today on the Upper East Side, in the voices and the turnout. You could feel it even stronger this past weekend in the Bronx alongside Senator Bernie Sanders. If you want a closer look at how these priorities have been shaped over time, check out some of the recent reporting on Hochul’s billionaire donors and their influence.
Whether or not you were able to join us in-person in recent days, take a moment now to send a message to the Governor urging her to agree to a budget that raises revenue by taxing the rich and calling on the Senate and Assembly to hold the line on their proposals to do just that.
Take Action
Use our phone script to contact your elected representatives and urge them to raise revenue by taxing the rich.
Lastly, forward this email to a friend and help grow the number of people speaking up, so it becomes impossible to ignore what New Yorkers are demanding. Let's keep the pressure up!
