COLONIE, N.Y. — The No. 3 Shenendehowa High School girls flag football team saw its season end in a defensive, heated, grinding 6-0 loss in their Class A sectional semifinal contest at No. 2 Colonie on Tuesday evening at Colonie Central High School. In the defensive stalemate, Jordyn Gurney, Kacee Horan, and Triniti Echols all recorded interceptions for Shen. Yet, Colonie’s Rhianna Walcott delivered for the Wolf Pack, amassing 110 total yards, three tackles, and the game’s lone touchdown.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS LACROSSE: Gould, Hancock, power Saratoga Springs past Guilderland in Class A sectional quarterfinals

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — No. 4 Saratoga Springs used a balanced scoring attack and a strong surge to pull away from No. 5 Guilderland in a 14-8 victory on Tuesday. The offensive pace was led by Josslyn Gould and Jocelyn Hancock, who each finished with four goals. McKenzie Laurin added three goals and an assist, while Addison Jones contributed three assists in distributing the ball throughout the offense.
